Are You Sure?

Did you know that the Bible says that most people are not saved? Did you know that the Bible says that many people think they are saved, but on the day of Judgment, they will be told otherwise?

Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" - Jesus of Nazareth

This is why the Bible spends so much time telling us we need to be sure of our salvation.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? --unless indeed you are disqualified.

There is only ONE way to be sure of your salvation. It is not your feelings, which can lead you astray (Proverbs 14:12). It is not a person, who can also lead you astray (Jeremiah 17:5). It is not a church, which can be wrong on the truth (Revelation 3:1). ONLY the Bible can reveal if you are saved. As it is written:

1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

John says that the things that are written (the Bible) is how you know you have eternal life. It is about believing in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Do you know what is written about Jesus of Nazareth?  Certainly a moment of your time is well worth ensuring that you do not spend an eternity in torment?
